Dream Equality: New York, NY, United States; I decided to start the Gay Bible Project as a means of equipping vulnerable gay Christians with a deeper understanding of the Bible so that they might fight back against the anti-gay Bible bullies who seem to have dominated discussions about human love and sexuality over the past several decades. I'm tired of folks using the Bible to justify their own homophobia. When you actually open up a Bible and really search for the whole truth, there is a rich tapestry of texts for LGBT Christians to draw from. It's my dream to have the entire Gay Bible Project reproduced and expanded with the help of professional theologians and a more experienced host. If you're a Divinity School student or someone else interested in helping expand and perfect this project please let me know!
